Laptop Theft in Broad Daylight

On Friday 28th July, a local computer shop was robbed, in broad daylight. I heard about this through a friend, who pointed me to a video that had been uploaded to stubbedtoe.co.nz – security camera footage of a 50 year old man walking out of the store with a laptop in his coat.


To cut a boring story short, I downloaded the footage from stubbedtoe, added the Pink Panther soundtrack and uploaded to Google Video. Before we knew it, it hit #2.

One thing led to another and the NZ Media was very quickly covering the story. In a small place like NZ it didn’t take long for the culprit to be identified as Dawson Bliss. Bliss had photos of himself wearing exactly the same coat on his website! He ended up being fined $2000.
