Oh wow they certainly have just dropped those prices, I’ll have to look into it for another site. In Greymouth our 2talk VoIP service has been working well over Snap ADSL2 so keen to stick with them there (bit pricier at $105/month plus data, full line speed though)

Hi James, I feel your pain, dealing with Telco’s drives me to drink. Telstra have a VDSL plan that was $399/month and is now $79.95 with a 7 Mbps upload – install is $220.44 + GST. Presume you’ve tried them?

Gidday James,

I have almost exactly the same setup I am trying to get going for our small office, except that I have a UC540. I have snap dsl, and an am300. I can’t get the am300 to work in half bridge mode though (it should) so I’m trying to get the UC540 to talk to 2talk behind a nat dsl router, but I’m having some problems getting this to work.

I can configure 2talk for trunk mode to tunk.2talk.co.nz and I can make calls out, but not in (I expect this is normal behind nat). If I configure 2talk for normal mode to 2talk.co.nz I can’t make calls in or out.

If you had any thoughts on our config it would be great.

Thank you so much! It works with Parallels 6 .

However, as with the post above, i’ve experienced some problems:
1. Click and drag doesn’t show the selection
2. The rectangle in the minimap doesn’t show

How can i fix these video issues?

We have been using 2talk for nearly 2 years and found it to be reliable, but their customer service is the worst i’ve ever know. I have had multiple times where I have called them and left messages which dont get returned and emails which dont get answered. At one point they stuffed up my 0800 number and my customers all heard “you have reached 0-8-0-0…” for a voicemail. They never responded to my emails asking for a compensation due to 3 days of lost customers. Their motto seems to be “if there is a problem, ignore it. If it an easy fix, send a very quick email.”

In saying this, i am forced to stay with them because my company uses call recording and other features of the 2talk portal religiously and their rates are better than World Exchange (who have AWESOME support).

Nice solution, thanks! I’ve experienced two problems with it under Parallels 6, though still playable.

1. A device lost, such as by pressing Ctrl-ESC and then going back into the game causes AoM to crash.
2. Click and drag doesn’t draw the selection rectangle, though troops still get selected as if they were.

By the way, you can get widescreen resolutions by adding xres and yres to the shortcut you use to launch it. For example:

“C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\aomx.exe” +noIntroCinematics xres=1680 yres=1050 bpp=32
